THE MAPS

 

WILD WEST 1873 features numerous maps of the West: maps of towns, Indian tribes, gold mines, rivers, landforms, trails, railroads, etc...

They enhance the game, providing a general view of the West.

 

Most of the maps including in the manual have information for the whole 1870s-1880s period to get a better overall view. Also, present-day states are always taken as references as states and territories boundaries were changing constantly between 1870 and 1880, and it would be difficult to get one's bearings.

 

However in scenarios maps are up-to-date, that is information available corresponds to the time the scenarios would take place. This is a basic rule for any map of any scenario. If the story takes place in 1875, any map (states and territories boundaries, forts, indians tribes, trails etc ) only shows information until 1875.
